At the stroke of midnight tonight (Pacific Standard Time), we are going to halt all voting for your favorite Gabba Friends stories and tomorrow we will email the winners. So please vote vote vote!
To vote: Go to Contests to see who is in the running then go directly to their page to cast your vote. If you vote for something on the main page, it doesn't actually count. You have to vote on the actual page. Sorry about that bug... we'll change our strategy for the next round of contests starting tomorrow.
Thank you for all of your wonderful pictures and stories! We all really loved every single one of them.
I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween!
Here's a picture from our own Yo Gabba Gabba themed Halloween, featuring my baby, Micah (as Brobee) standing with our Foofa and Muno pumpkins!
Katie sent in this picture of her one-year old son Ethan showing us his Brobee costume! This costume was cleverly handmade by Ethan's grandmother!
Kaleda sent in this amazing Foofa costume that her daughter's grandmother whipped up for her just yesterday! We love the addition of a white flower. So sweet!
Kellie made this awesome DJ Lance boombox cake for her daughter's birthday!
Awesome site... my wife found this place and told me about it - we've been Gabba fans for quite some time now. Our 22-month old son has been mesmerized by the show since he could first sit up.
Not sure if this is the right place to share this, but we made some pumpkins for him this year:
I'd love to hear your thoughts or feedback - and I look forward to seeing you all around the group!
Heidi sent in pictures of her sons dressed as Brobee (Sawyer) and DJ Lance Rock (Sutton)! Their costumes are complete with hand-knitted caps (great idea!) and personalized trick or treat bags. They joined their friend Hattie (dressed as Toodee) for a special night out as the Gabba gang!
Tina's family made this cute glossy Brobee pumpkin and tells you exactly how she did it!
We printed a picture of Brobee off of the Nick Jr. website and used it as a guide to paint our pumpkin. Our son just loves Yo Gabba Gabba and we wanted to paint the characters on our pumpkins this year. We used a pencil to draw him on the pumpkin then used acrylic paints to paint him. We then used a clear coat to spray on it to keep it from chipping and the clear really makes the color pop.
Bethany shares with us how she made for her brand new baby girl, Nora, a sweet Foofa costume!
For the basics, I purchased two long-sleeved, pink onesies - one size 0-3 months (which size she actually is) and the other size 3-6 months (a size bigger so I could stuff it with fluff!), a plain pink newborn cap, and pink tights, 3 sheets of pink felt, 1 sheet of yellow.
It's so amazing to see all of these incredible ideas for Yo Gabba Gabba costumes! We have truly loved seeing you get creative and crafty!
Here are some more costumes we have spotted and that have been sent in:
Gabba Friend, Hollandra, handmade this adorable Toodee costume for her daughter, Hattie! (Notice that Hollandra also made Hattie a candy tote bag using a Toodee iron on! Genius!!!)
JD looks really proud and pleased with this special DJ Lance costume his mommy, 2ManiacsMom, handmade for his big night!
(Tons more Gabba Goodness after the jump!)
In time for Halloween, Nick Jr. has added some fun Yo Gabba Gabba printables to their website!
