We got to use our YGG Valentines today
Kaya's preschool class had their Valentines Day party this morning so we got to use our YGG Valentines :D
Kaya helped me make little heart shaped crayons to go with the valentines. They were definitely the coolest valentines there and a lot of the kids were stoked to see their favorite Yo Gabba Gabba characters!

Valentine's Day is the biggest valentine Ecard messages revenue grosser for manufacturers when it comes to cards.

How adorable are those valentines! How did you make the crayons? I would love to make some of those myself! Please please share!
I would love to know how you made those too!
I think that's a really great idea instead of candy!
Thanks!! I LOVE making crayons :D
They are recycled from Kaya's bits and pieces of broken castaway crayons (or upcycled when we run out of brokens). There a few different methods, but the easiest in my opinion is to use metal cookie molds that can be baked in the oven. I just peel the crayons, break them into small pieces ( about 1/2"-1" pieces) fill the mold cavities and bake at a low temp. I use 350 and it takes about 10 minutes but honestly I don't time anything, I just keep an eye on it and try to remove it from the oven as soon as the pieces are all the way melted. If you leave it in too long the melted crayons will begin to burn and fill the house with smoke and an awful smell.
The pan I use for the small hearts I got at Michael's and I'm pretty sure it's on sale this week for $7.99
Morgan :D
What a fantastic idea! They look professionally made. It's so easy to do, why didn't I think of that? Amelia's crayons are pretty much all broken so that's what I'm going to do with them. Awesome!
Here's a picture of Kaya helping me fill the heart mold with crayon pieces...
Thanks! I will definitely be trying this out!
