Now I have something to add to this quote from the article:
"The second-season series trails Nick Jr. hits Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! in viewers (though drawing more than 1.3 million for new episodes), but Johnson says it can take a year or more before a show really takes off."
Dora has been on the air roughly since 1999/2000, and Diego since late 2005 (via Wiki). Spongebob was on the air loooong before it became such a hit. YGG has been on right around a year and a half, and look at the response. So, I don't think it is quite accurate to compare YGG to Dora, etc. considering the years of exposure/merchandising/etc. those shows have had. I am seriously awaiting the day whenever a new episode of YGG spurs a collection of related Burger King toys (al a Spongebob)! LOL
