DJ Lance Costume under $28.00!
I made this costume using items bought at Target & Wal-mart. I bought an orange long sleeve shirt (with a Halloween decal) I just flipped the shirt inside out. I also picked up a white turtle neck, both items pushed me close to $10.00. At Wal-mart I bought adult size orange sweats they were on sale $3.00 (I could not for the life of me find toddler sized orange sweats) I grabbed a few felt sheets 0.33 cents/ea and some gold glittler glue. A few snips and stiches later this is what I ended up with TA-DA!

I still need to get a fuzzy had or something fuzzy that I can make into a hat. I intend to use glasses that come with a nose and mustache, but I just plan on using the glasses which I can pick up at a party favor store or even the 99cent store. The boom box I will make with cardboard and with the help of some silver spray paint and some markers. I have about $10.00 to pick up the last few items I need. That is how I will end up with a DJ Lance costume under $28.00! maybe less if I find more bargains! I'll make sure to post pictures of my son wearing it. It was daddy's weekend this time, but I cant wait to have him try it on already!!!

Wendy is the best mom ever, she did a fabulous job!
Wendy, is an awesome mom! She did a fabulous job on Teddy's Costume. You go girl!
Love your mother'n law 'Denise;0)
YAY! I finished my sons hat! and with the fabric left over (from the hat) I was able to make him a blanket! Cant wait to show it to him tomorrow!!!!!
YAY! im happy to say his costume fit! I made it on weekends his dad had him so I got lucky here and there! I just need to make his ghetto blaster...and I went over my budget..fabric cost more then i thought. Here his is!
Hello great job on the costume I was wondering if you are willing to sell the costume you made or if you would be willing ot make me a costume for my son for this halloween? I rather have something homemade with love than store bought. I'm willing to pay just name a price I know working on handmade items is hard work? Please let me know what you think and if you can leave a way I can contact you. Thank you.
How sweet of you to like it so much! unfortunately its not something im interested in doing. The one I made my son is something im keeping, we've had a ton of good times as him being DJ Lance :)
I really do encourage you to try it. Try starting it now, so that you can have it worked out by Halloween! If you're not great at sewing, and trust me im not. Try using fabric glue, a lot of gabba moms on here have made the most gorgeous outfits using fabric glue and felt!
If you need any more ideas or suggestions, I would recommend starting a thread in the handmade section, gabbafriends are incredibly helpful! Im sure if I cant find a easier solution someone else can!
I understand I will give it a try thing you can let me know where to begin with what items I need? From start to end? If so that would be great. Thank you once again it would be a lot to me if you could help me out in anyway.
so technically I didn't get it done before halloween seeing as its 12:36am Oct 31st, BUT still! so happy its complete!
now a few hours of sleep and then a fun evening of trick or treating DJ Lance style "now break it doooooWN"
Oh, Wendy, that is totally gorgeous. I am so impressed! True to Season One DJ Lance, you even gave him a white collar... hahaha. That rules.
