Brobee Costume
Does anyone have any suggestions on a Brobee Halloween Costume for a 4 year old? Another challenge is that we live in Florida - so alot of fur is going to be really hot!! My son does not want to be ANYTHING else!!

Hi i also live in florida and will be trick or treating as brobee i plan on buying a brobee jacket i have seen before online and i also plan on wearing the brobee hat.
yes i myself will be brobee and yes i am only 13 but im kinda small and know i will fir in it with my size.
My son is also being Brobee for Halloween. We bought a bright green hooded sweatshirt and pants (but very light, not heavy fleece) from www.simplycolors.com and then I sewed dark green felt stripes on it and for Brobee's face, I sewed on eyes, mouth and unibrow from felt. It looks great and didn't take a lot of effort. SEWING ISN'T NECESSARY - I would have only glued the stuff on with fabric glue, but he will be wearing it for 5 different parties and it has to get washed so I figured some stitches will keep the felt on better.
This sounds so cool!! do you have any pictures? My son has his heart set on this Brobee costume and I am soooo not creative, nor do i have time!!! Thank you.

I am cheating for my little one. I bought a white sweatshirt and sweatpants and used fabric dye to make them green. I painted on stripes with a darker green fabric dye, and I am going to let her wear the hat and mittens that they have at Wal-mart.
Hi Kelly! We're going to give Brobee a shot for Halloween as well.
I searched high and low for a green jumpsuit/sweatsuit that I could paint stripes onto, but to no avail. So, I did what another mom did for her DJ Lance Rock costume, and I ordered from ebay a pattern called "simplicity 5317", spending only a few bucks. (I just checked and there are still tons of places you can buy it online, including ebay.)
I don't think we'll be using fur either as we'll be Trick or Treating in Southern California, but I plan to use a light green cotton fabric and paint it with dark green stripes.
For the face, I'm going to face paint a thick brow and big red lips. For the head, that simplicity pattern also has a hat pattern, so I plan to sew some red fabric (maybe felt?) to the top.
I hope this idea helps you out. I would still love to hear from other crafty moms to see what advice they would have!
I was actually at Wal-Mart looking for sweatsuits to dye to make Brobee and Toodee costumes when I found a Brobee hat! Then I turned around and found Brobee pajamas right behind me! Sooo... I am whimping out ;-) My little 2 year old Brobee will be wearing Brobee pajamas and a Brobee hat! It is chilly here in the Midwest, so it should work out fine :-)
they have brobee pajamas? are they available online?
You know, that's not such a bad idea at all, Brobee's Big Sister. In fact, I'm going to go look into that right now. Thanks for the heads up! That would honestly save a ton of time and stress for me.
Oh my goodness I am so happy to hear that I am not the only mother sending a Brobee out into the trick-or-treat world. I am still trying to put my creative brain to work. If I come up with anything cool I will share it! Good luck ladies!
I am starting waaaay ahead of time, just in case I have to end up sewing a Brobee costume for my 1 year old who LOVES Brobee. He has a fleece pajama that is dark green...it is the type of pajama that zips up in the front and has feet. I am going to glue some light green stripes cut out of felt to the "onesie" and make a hat out of glued fleece that has the little red horns and Brobee's eyes and unibrow...I may just paint the red mouth on his face. Just another idea for a Halloween Brobee since it seems they do not make them??
I've had a brobee mask in the works for a while now, but I think I'm taking the most difficult route possible!! So far I've constructed the base for the head out of a foam egg crate and hot glue. the next step is to find the right fur (will be hitting down town LA for the fur..) and hot glue strips of fur around the foam base.. AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!
I forgot to mention that the mask is for myself!! and it's HUGE!! i haven't even started thinking about kaya's ygg themed costume yet.. oops!! :)
