London's Birthday Party
Our son London LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba, so when it came time to celebrate his 1st birthday what better way to celebrate than the Yo Gabba Gabba way!
The birthday episode had been playing prior to his party so my husband decided to make a Brobee cake for the party! For the party favors I decided to buy Gabba T-shirts from Walmart and tie a ribbon around it with a card that said "That was so much fun! Thanks for playing with me today" They were a hit!! And finally for decoration we tried to mimic the scene from Brobee's birthday party, so streamers and balloons. It was a great party and London really seemed to enjoy himself, can't wait for his 2nd birthday!
Here are some pictures of the day:

Here is another cute picture of London loving his Gabba friends! If you are wondering, he is watching Yo Gabba Gabba that is why is is staring off!!

LOVE your cake! thanks for posting how you made it! i'm going to give it a try for our sons 2nd birthday. thanks for the insperation!
Hello what a great cake. May I ask how you made the brobee cake could I please have directions I plan on making if for my sons second birthday Thank you
Hi there...thanks for the kind comments on the cake! It's actually 5 separate cakes divided up. Brobee is 2 layers thick, held together by whipped icing. His arms are 2 cakes, his body is 2 cakes and his horns are one small cake. The arms and horns are held to the body by toothpicks. I was unable to find any green icing, so I had to dye my own (we used neon green and regular green..LOTS of both). We found pressurized icing cans (a lot like cheeze whiz) that I used for the eyes, mouth and horns. The light green icing was spread on and the dark green sections were applied with a piping bag. You can get away with using any boxed cake flavor you like. You could get him looking a lot more "smooth" by using fondant, but I tried to stay as true to the episode as possible, so I stayed with icing. I hope this helps out...good luck with your cake!
your party looks like it was a BLAST!! if you dont mind me asking, what kind of snacks do you have in the bowls in the picture up top? they all look yummy! i always have a hard time picking out good snacks for the little ones. :)
I had fruit snacks, animal cookies, Gerber snacks like the cheese puffs and yogurt bites, and cheeze-its! Kid friendly and yummy for adults too!! Thanks for commenting
