Lilia's 2nd Birthday Party!
Huge thanks to Ryan and Joy for sharing with us their homemade Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party!
Our daughter loves Yo Gabba Gabba, so my wife and I decided to have a Gabba-themed birthday party for her! It's nearly impossible to find anything in the local brick-and-mortar stores, and we were trying to watch what we were spending anyway (Gabba toys are not exactly the most affordable toys even when you can find them) so we decided to make our decorations.
I found some girls YGG T's onsale during the recent Hot Topic clearance event, and we splurged for a personalized YGG shirt for our daughter.

I was out of luck. I ended up making my shirt out of a plain red T-shirt and some felt with iron-on adhesive.

I didn't stop there, I found some 2' x 1' sheets of colored foam while I was walking through the craft store, and ended up making Muno, Foofa, Brobee, Toodee, and Plex wall decorations. I used the color sheet pages on the Nick Jr site as guides and eyeballed the sketches onto the foam, then cut them out and glued them together. It worked pretty well, and people really seemed to like them.

We also made a "Pin the Eye on Muno" game out of felt and Velcro, and a "Toss the Party in Brobee's Tummy" beanbag game out of cardboard and spray paint taped onto a beanbag board purchased from Walmart.

My wife made the cupcakes shown on the Nick Jr site, and they were delicious!!

Thanks for your site, IT'S AWESOME!
