This awesome Brobee lunch pack was made by our friend, Kipluck!

Scroll to about :35 seconds into the video for the Brobee Lunch Pack!

Want to make your own? Kipluck gives you all of the (hilarious) details!

Kipluck writes:

So, the other day at work , my sister/boss Rinny gave me yet another weird job. Do some crafts. Make a paper chain calendar. Draw on some pots. Decorate a Old Jeans Lunch Bag. It is odd having your sister as your boss, especially when she is playing Martha Stewart for Good Things Utah again. Well, I admit I totally decorated that lunch bag with Yo Gabba Gabba because of my new love for the show due to E's The Soup AND, our own Hippest Homemaker, Laurie! So here are the instructions, plus some close ups, on how to do your own crazy Brobee (or otherwise Bling-ified) denim lunchbag!

Here is the Mom/sister/boss/Rinny part:

Recycled Jeans Lunch Sack

What you need: Old pair of jeans, scissors, sewing machine, thread, cord or string, buttons, paint, patches, etc to decorate.

1. To begin, cut a 12- to 16-inch section from a pant leg. Turn inside out. Fold over a 1/2-inch strip around the top and sew it down to create a casing. Leave an opening about ¼ - ½ inch for cord.
2. Thread a 3-foot length of cord, ribbon or string through opening. Knot the two end together. May need to carefully stitch bottom of opening closed to secure the drawstring.
3. To form the bag's bottom, cut another piece of fabric from the pants, about 1/2-inch larger than the leg's circumference. With the leg inside out sew the two pieces together using a ¼ in. seam.
4. Let your child help customize the bag with fabric paints, buttons, patches, ribbon, etc.

Here is the Kid/me/employee/BethAnn/Kipluck part:

1. To begin watch a bunch of Yo Gabba Gabba on You Tube because you don't HAVE cable.

*This is optional. If you want to decorate it with something else, like if you are an older kid and might get pummeled to a bloody pulp if you took your lunch to 5th grade in a lunch sack with BROBEE on it, you could just draw whatever you want on it. Or just glue jewels on it. Apparently, we call that BLING now. You could write your favorite band on it. Or sew on patches from Hot Topic. Or write your crush's name on it... BUT DON'T LET THEM EVER SEE YOUR LUNCH OR IT'S ALL OVER, DUDE!!!

Personally, I am 28 and therefore too old to care that I am too old to like Yo Gabba Gabba because I love the Aquabats! So, moving on with STEP NUMBER ONE. Watch You Tube and start doodling a picture you want on your sack.

2. Get something to draw on your sack with. Luckily this was my job and I just got to raid our supplies and we have fabric MARKERS! So much nicer than paints. But you COULD go old school and do puff paints... or spin art...
but back to 2008. The Era of the Gabba, Baybee! Draw. Doodle. Express yourself.

Personally, I drew Brobee on one side and an anthropomorphized chicken leg on the other. (it goes with the song.) THEN I got creative with da BLING.

3. I used a hot glue gun. Because, my mom... okay she probably DOESN'T trust me with them but my fingers are burned enough they don't hurt anymore. If your little ones have not so callused of fingers, you might stick to tacky glue. There are plastic jewels of all kinds of little shapes, and WHO KNEW SO MANY COULD LOOK LIKE FOOD?! (Maybe just to dieting girls? Hmmmm...) Anyway, because it was Yo Gabba Gabba, I drew faces on them. I made little circles be berries, a bone out of diamonds, a square-ish ruby jucebox... Bling is VERY adaptable. And In. I am rarely IN, so I take advantage of it anytime I can.

4. Let the markers dry. That probably doesn't deserve it's own step. But I like having 5.

5. Pack a nutritious lunch! Don't forget the fruits and veggies, they want to go to the party! (supplement something MUCH more cool and grown up and UN-lame for the older kids to end with than "they want to go to the party." Because they are WAY too cool for that.)

SO, now that you know how to make THAT check out the other crafts in the demo. Maybe I will explain how I did those... another time. MAYBE.

I DID join the site, even though it looks a lot more professional when Laurie posts for me. ;)

ANYWAY, just wanted to say Hi, that I still USE my little lunch bag, and that I am here. Ha!

Notable Quotes

"My kids [Stella, 22 months, and Liam, 3] are obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba! It's a dream to guest on the show and do a dance-y dance!"

-Tori Spelling, actress

"I love YO GABBA GABBA. I don't care what you say, DJ Lance, Muno, Brobee, Foofa, Toodee and Plex have taught my daughter many valuable lessons--like the desirability of napping, for one. Not to throw objects at Daddy's skull. Not biting. The value of 'trying again' and 'not giving up.' All set to surprisingly weird, offbeat songs which--in another venue and with other lyrics, one might find oneself enjoying at a club. They get good indie bands as guests, and Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO is a regular. I know every song and every lyric by heart."

-Anthony Bourdain, host of No Reservations
