How To Make YGG Chocolate Suckers!
Recently GabbaFriend Brandy showed us pictures from her son Max's birthday party and everyone raved about her handmade chocolate suckers. You asked for instructions on how you can make them, and Brandy graciously answered your requests! Thanks, Brandy!!!

1. First I used Sculpey Clay to make the little sculptures of each character (You don't have to use a lot of details, just add them later however I do suggest putting the whites of the eyes on because it's easier to make circles with the clay than the chocolate later).

2. Then you bake the clay according to the packaging. Next I used "Amazing Mold Putty" to create the molds (you can buy it online or your local craft stores). Just squish it over the sculpture, let it dry, then peel it off. Be sure to keep the mold intact because you will reuse it. It's OK if the sculpture breaks.

3. When you have all the molds, you need to make a spot for the sucker stick to lay (You can find them at Walmart and many other stores). Just use an Exacto knife or razor blade to cut skinny indents for a stick. Keep using the stick for measurement.

4. Then use multicolored chocolate wafers (found at Walmart, Tops, Wegman's, etc.), to fill in the molds, insert a stick and cover top of stick with chocolate so it doesn't break off when you peel the suckers out. Tip: Fill in the eyes or whatever winds up laying on top of the sucker when u peel it out. Be careful when peeling, start from the outsides and work your way around the edges, then towards the middle. If a small piece of the sucker breaks off just sorta paste it back together using the warm chocolate. Hold it still till it dries. Plus this kind of chocolate if pretty soft so if its not smooth when it hardens, u can just rub it in a little and smooth it out with the warmth of your hands.

5. Add the little details by dipping a stick into the warm chocolate until the chocolate creates a "tail" off the end of the stick. By using this small line you can draw fine details. When the suckers are done you can wrap them with cellophane and ribbon. Keep them cool. Then to make a stand, I used a rectangle shaped piece of styrofoam and wrapped it in decorated paper. Then punch holes in it diagonally with a nail to easily insert the suckers. I pushed a few long nails into the bottom of the foam to make it heavy on the bottom and stable. Also arrange the suckers evenly around to help with sturdiness.

these are cool chocolate candy, nice, very creative.
