Addie Meets Plex at Toys R Us!
Many thanks to Addie's parents for sending in this great story and pictures from their time visiting Plex at Toys R Us! Don't forget to check to see when Plex or Brobee is visiting a Toys R Us near you!
Addie's parents, Alexis and Dustin, share the following experience with us:
We wanted to write about our awesome morning meeting PLEX! Our daughter Addie is 19 months old and absolutely loves Yo Gabba Gabba. So when we found out that Plex was making an appearance at the Grand Opening of the Toys R Us store in North Haven, CT (about 30 minutes away), we knew we'd have to be there.
Well, let's just say that she went crazy when she saw him. She followed him around the entire store yelled "pux! pux! pu pu pu pu pu pux!" - it was so funny. When it was time for him to go "backstage for a rest" she freaked out - crying like she was heartbroken.
The store did a great job - he came out for about 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. We saw him 3 times - her excitement was so priceless, we just had to stick around. The second time, the staff read the Get the Sillies Out book and all the kids jumped around shaking their sillies out. Addie sat and stared in awe the whole time.
When it was her turn to pose for a picture she hugged him, high-fived him, and tried to open his little door on the front of him. It was a great morning and we're thinking of going back tomorrow or Sunday because it is an entire weekend event.
So....if you are anywhere near one of the stores hosting the YGG crew, make sure you go!!

It looks like your daughter had a blast! How was the crowd, though? Were there a lot of people? Brobee is coming to a store near us, but I am worried we'll get there and not get to do a meet and greet due to too many people. I don't want my lil' guy disappointed.
The crowd was actually not nearly as bad as we had expected. We got there when the store opened (10am) and the characters didn't come out until 11. There were 2 characters at once (a yellow care bear and plex) one on each side of the store...so it worked out well. They just walked around the store, which helped, instead of staying in one spot and letting the kids crowd them. BUT...his second appearance of the day was the read the book...and there were MAYBE 10 kids with their parents. It was great. No lines, got to be up close and personal. Addie investigated all parts of Plex...back side included. And that's when we took pictures. The store did a REALLY great job of things. We were definitely impressed. And dare I say that some kids just called Plex "some robot". Oh please! I felt like we had met a celebrity!
Sounds cool! Thanks for the info! I am hoping that we have the same luck and fun in a couple of weeks!
Your pics are awesome!! I wish they would come out to AZ. It sounds like a great experience. Yo Gabba Gabba;)
