50 pounds of Yo Gabba Gabba goodness!
Our GabbaFriend Kaya Papaya shares with us how she made her daughter a HUGE Yo Gabba Gabba cake! Her party was a big hit with over 70 guest attending!
I used my favorite cake recipe for both the foofas and the big cake, a low sugar zucchini cake. This thing was bigger than big, I made 12 batches of batter and the finished product weighed almost 50 pounds!!!! Basically, I bought the biggest cake pan I could find and made four cakes that size, then set two side by side, frosted the top, and stacked two more on top to make it double layer. The finished thing was 24"x 18"x 6" high! I frosted the entire thing in white cream cheese lime frosting (all home made of course) and placed in the center a YGG photo personalized frosting sheet I bought in ebay. Around the center pic i piped pink frosting, as well as around the edges of the cake, then between the two pink piped borders I put a bunch of random stuff- it was supposed to be the ygg pattern you guys have as background on the gabbafriends site but I couldn't remember the exact pattern so I winged it :) and that was pretty much it, the decorating was simple, it was making 12 batches of batter and grating 20 pounds of zucchini that was a pain, but so worth it!

This is so awesome!!! I love the colors and the concept!!! And zucchini in the cake batter, that sounds really good!!! You did a great job!!! d(^_^)b I love your Foofa cake as well!!! ♥♥♥
