KayaPapaya's Birthday Party!

Being with friends is so much FUN! Especially when your friends are from GabbaLand!!!

For Kaya's 2nd birthday party we threw a huge Yo Gabba Gabba Bash! We had the party in our back yard which has a huge solid white fence so I made giant character faces to decorate the fence with. I even did Dj Lance :D

We rented a pink and purple castle jump house which was "Foofa's magic castle" for the day. We decorated the entire yard with YGG colored streamers and balloons and also used the colors for table cloths, plates, cups, silverware and party hats. To hang across the yard I made 3 happy birthday banners and glued character cut outs we printed from the Nick Jr website on them.


I also printed masks, games, puzzles, puppets and song lyrics from the Nick Jr website and layed them out on the tables for everyone to play with. The paper balloons with Muno and Plex's faces I made out of some precut balloon shapes I found at Dollar Tree and construction paper.



I decorated red and pink paper lunch sacks to look like Muno and Foofa for the goodie bags as well as Muno and Foofa decorated presents. My mom and I baked the cakes the night before.

We used my favorite low sugar zucchini cake recipe (Click here to see a detailed description of the recipe)
I hastily decorated it the morning of the party with a cream cheese and lime juice frosting, a printed YGG cake topper (bought on ebay) and i piped the borders and pattern with a pastry bag. A close friend also baked 150 cupcakes for the party which we frosted in YGG colored frosting and covered with character cupcake toppers, printed on rice paper (also from ebay).



During the party we played the Yo Gabba Gabba Soundtrack and everyone got their dancey dance on out in the yard :) After some games and jumping in Foofa's magic castle we did the cake and presents (Kaya got lots of cool YGG loot she didn't already have) then the kids had their way with the Muno/ Toodee/ Foofa pinata I made.

Kaya's Yo Gabba Gabba party was so much fun and I had a blast making all the decorations! SO much fun I've decided to throw myself a Yo Gabba Gabba party for MY birthday this summer!! AAweeesoooooooooooooomee!!! :D
