Edgar's 2nd Birthday Party!
Anna sends in pictures of her sons party! Can you believe she made these adorable pinatas?!

On February 15, 2009, we celebrated our son's 2nd Birthday. I made 2 pinatas. A Foofa pinata for the girls to break and a Brobee one for the boys.

I made Broobee and Muno goody bags for the kids filled with a punch balloon, a smiley faced tambourine, and some clappers.

For decoration, I decorated colored plates, (12 per character). I made a template using microsoft publisher and used the templates to cut out shapes from white and construction paper. Then I drew eyes using black marker. I used double sided tape. I also printed out several copies of the decorating package on nickjr.com and used them to decorate.

I printed out letters in alternating colors to spell out HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDGAR and created a garland along with cutouts from nickjr.com.

I had a baker make a tres leches cake and she decorated it with green sugar "grass" with flowers. The cake was supposed to have the plastic yo gabba gabba figurines, but we forgot to take them with us to the party. It still looked and tasted good.

The birthday boy getting ready to break the Brobee Pinata. I printed a yo gabba gabba picture to iron on a white shirt for him to wear for the 1st half of the party. Then he changed into his sunday best for the cake.
I enjoyed making the pinatas. they were fairly easy but took about a week's worth of time. I would be happy to share my process. I would also be willing to make these and other pinatas for sale.
